With 1400 acres of water and 3900 acres of forest, Eagle Creek Park is one of the largest city parks in the nation, offering unmatched opportunities for exploration, enjoyment, and discovery of nature only minutes from downtown Indianapolis.  Eagle Creek Park is part of the City of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Parks and Recreation.  Be sure to stop by indy.gov/parks to learn more about the over 200 park properties in Marion County!
 
Eagle Creek now has two exciting environmental education centers to enjoy during your visit to the park.  Both are free to park visitors with regular park admission ($5/car, $15/bus) Click the links for more information about hours, events, and opportunities to discover what Eagle Creek Park has to offer!

The beach is open June 9-August 5, 2012.   Beach closed for 2012 on July 20, due to high levels of blue green algae.

Eagle Creek Park Rules
  • All dogs must be leashed at all times.
  • All plants, animals and structures are protected by city ordinance.
  • The park is open dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted.
  • Please obey all posted speed limits.
  • Please do not feed wildlife.
  • Cycling is permitted on roadways only.
  • Swimming and wading is only allowed at the beach when lifeguards are present.
  • Lock all valuables in the trunk of your car.
  • Use caution when entering roadways and trails.
  • Boats of no greater than 10HP are allowed on the reservoir.
  •  
  • Not permitted at any time:  Alcoholic beverages, loud music, ground fires, littering, hunting/trapping, firewood gathering, off-road biking, watercrafts of any kind in the waterfowl sanctuary.
